Who is the Gorilla Bow suitable for?
The Gorilla Bow is 100% beginner friendly. It uses resistance bands for smooth tension so there is less pressure on joints. What other equipment do I need?
The Gorilla Bow provides an all in one total body workout without you having to do a long gym commute or even get a gym membership. all you need is the bow, the bands (included), and a space to workout!
I'm quite tall, will the bands allow full range in a squat?
One of the owners is 6'3" and our trainer in Texas is using Gorilla Bow with NBA players, so it should be fine.
There is a greater chance of bands snapping if you stretch it over 2.5x its resting length. If you are 6'5" or taller you can also kneel on the ground and put the bands under your ankles for overhead exercises which you might prefer for some exercises anyway (shoulder press, overhead triceps extensions, etc.).
How much resistance can the bow handle?
The Gorilla Bow can handle up to 300 lbs of resistance.
The bow is incredibly durable because it’s made from aircraft grade aluminum. On the bow you have two slots that you can put two bands of resistance on each, so up to four bands total.
Is this more for weight loss or for building muscle?
The Gorilla Bow is great for both. We recommend using it for HIIT workouts - workouts that have period of high intensity followed by recovery periods. This boosts your heart rate and metabolism, which is great for weight loss. Studies have shown HIIT workouts keep your body burning calories & fat at a higher rate for a longer period of time than steady workouts. The resistance bands will help to tone your muscles. You will see muscle building benefits from HIIT workouts, or your can add more weight and do traditional targeted muscle area weight training
